Dear Sister,
I'm writing to you (and to me) about why you are worth someone else's time and effort. Don't you dare allow someone else to be the keeper of that fact or doctor that uncompromising truth.
If you have to wait, if you have to cry your eyes out dry, if you have to spend sleepless nights questioning every part of yourself than so be it. Cry, feel, doubt, question but don't allow that fallacy to dress itself as a fact.
Some day, I promise, someone here on earth will show you a taste of what our creator has already done for us: fiercely and unconditionally love us in the most sacrificial way. You are always worth the extra effort. Be patient and wait for that person here on earth to remind you of that. Or better yet, someday you won't need someone to prove it to you, you'll own it and wear it like you wear your favorite gold earrings!
So tonight, when you're questioning why you know you're worth it but the world doesn't seem to, remember that your sister knows and sees how special you are and that's a start.
Keep hoping, believing and dreaming that when you push back out of familiar comfort, that he persists and pursues; that he is willing to put in the extra time just to show you how worthwhile you are.
I'm fighting for you, Sister, and someday the man of your dreams will do the same.
Love you,
Amanda
