España: The Five W's

Hey friends and fam! I survived my junior year at The University of Texas at Austin! Hook 'em horns! In the midst of projects, exams, assignments and moving out of my apartment within the passed two weeks I've managed to make it out in one piece. In case you have no clue what/why this blog is a thing here's why: I'll be studying abroad for six weeks in Madrid, Spain! I've never been to Europe and the extent of my knowledge is restricted to Mary Kate and Ashley movies and books (Kidding! I'm actually mildly obsessed with European life but like to think my trip will consist of MK &A adventures). A very special thank-you goes out to my always selfless cousin, Triana, for helping me pack and move out of my apartment, it wasn't easy!

Who are you going with?

Alone! I unintentionally applied to a program that no other UT student was interested in, go figure! I'll be joining a group of about 35 other university students from around the US.

What exactly are you getting yourself into?

Good question! I'm diving in head first (AH)! The program offers spanish language, history, art and film courses. I'll be taking both the spanish language and history! Just putting it out there, I actually signed up for art but I guess art didn't want me....(awk).

When will you be posting next?

TBH, I have no idea. My hope is to post at least once a week. You can keep up with my travels and potential Mary Kate and Ashley-esque adventures by subscribing to my blog on the right panel under follow by email! Where will you be? 

I'll be studying in Madrid and living with a host mom. I'm planning on traveling around Spain throughout my time there. I'll definitely keep you updated!

Why are you doing this?

A simple question, but I've been getting it a lot. I love traveling and found this program that offered students spanish credit, (I need one more) so there's that!
